Mr. Alfred Ohene Akonor President of the Sankofa Franco Ghanaian Association in Toulouse, has sent an official letter of affiliation to the GHACIF Headquarters at Sarcelles. INAUGURATION OF SANKOFA

This is to express our sincere gratitude and thanks to GHACIF for honouring our invitation through you and your secretary’s participation at the inauguration of our infant association SANKOFA, on the 30th of June at Toulouse.

We deem this representation and participation as a positive step for future collaboration to broaden Franco Ghanaian friendship, mutual understanding and cooperation. Your message of support and encouragement is well noted and appreciated. SANKOFA see itself, even before a decision by its council of administrators, as an affiliated member of GHACIF and thus could be counted upon for collaborative programmes and projects.

Also, we would like to extend through GHACIF our personal thanks to Ghanafohene Nana Owusu Aburokyiriyede for his spontaneity, simplicity and majestic gesture to grace the occasion.

Further, I would like to take this opportunity to inform you that as part of our programme for 2007, we (represented by myself and the secretary) are embarking on a mission trip to Ghana from July 17th for one month. We intend establishing contacts with certain local groups, institutions, governmental and non-governmental organisations. We also have plans to follow the Pan-African festival which would be taking place throughout the country during this period. Once again thank you very much for your cooperation.
