His exellency Mr. President, Hon. Ministers, Ghana's Ambassador, distinguished members of the Presidential delegation Nananom my dear colleagues .

On behalf of the Ghanaian Community in France association (GHACIF) which I have the task and honour to preside , I salute your presence and also do welcome back Ghana's President to France.

Ghacif is a creation of 25 Ghanaian associations , Churches and unions, it is open to all Ghanaians and it has representation all over France .

Today, GHACIF has at its credit ba news paper , web-site www.ghacif.org showcasing images of our community. We are about to outdoor a radio station on the internet . It will precede a classic FM station that we are working on with the French authorities.

Through our music and culture department , we are striving to promote Ghanaian music and culture in France .

GHACIF stands for our unity , progress and Ghana's social development. In relation to this, our association has opened a solidarity fund account purposely to surport socio –economic progress in Ghana. To start with we have launched a crusade to fish for sponsorship to help the needy and for health programs including the national health insurance scheme.

Mr President , at this era when Ghana is making history by qualifying for 2006 world cup soccer competition, the Blackspears which is GHACIF's football team officially recognised by the French government, believes in the capacity of the blackstars to win the tornament.

For that matter, under the chairmanship of Mr kennedy Kyeremeh , we are preparing to celebrate Ghana's qualification in France and also call for the formation of a supporters union , which will go to Germany to support our National Team.

We take this oppotunity to present some of the supporting articles to you.

Mr. President we always feel proud when we hear of your presence in France. On your first visit, I questioned you about Ghana's political insta bility. Today , I congratulate your government for stabilising Ghana.

Mr President , Ghana is Africa's headlight and its diaspora is a power.Taking exemple on the Jews who are strong both at home and at abroad, GHACIF is calling for the Co-Ordination of all Ghanaians on the five continents for the development of Ghana. Lets give it a thought and a test . An official letter on this issue has been sent to your Government through Hon Baah Wiredu the Finance minister.
