VOTING RIGHTS OF GHANAIANS ABROAD TO BE REVISITED

The government of Ghana is to create a multi-partisan Commission to re-consider the Representation of the People Amendment Act which was voted during Kuffour's government.

In his state of the Nation's address in Accra, President Mills said even though the NDC boycotted the passage of the ROPAA bill, it's commitment to provide the opportunity for brothers and sisters abroad to exercise their franchise was never in doubt.

He stated that it was neccessary to involve all political parties in Ghana to enable the country attain consencus on another bill which could replace the existing one. GHACIFNEWS.
