GHACIF CREATES A FRANCO-GHANAIAN CULTURAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM
Mr. Richard Hammond, Ghana Co-Ordinator for the SIGVARDSON CULTURAL
GALERIES in Copenhagen Denmark has forwarded a proposal of international
interest to the Ghanaian Community in France Representative Council.GHACIF.
He came from Ghana in person to meet GHACIF Executives in Paris this 14/02/2010.
In his presentation to the GHACIF PRESIDENT Hon. Osei Mensah, he said that his office
seeks to create a Franco-Ghanaian Cultural Program which will expand to a European level.
The first inauguration has taken place early this year in Copenhagen in collaboration with the
Ghana Embassy in Denmark.
The officer designate in charge of GHACIF cultural programs Mr. Adjei Doughan Makosa
has accepted the proposal on behalf of our Association and has promised to create a
team which will speed up the Set-Up process.He said he will seek to promote
Music,Dance and cultural values from the 10 regions of Ghana here in France. His
outfit will also seek to organize frequent Ghanaian Cultural Exhibitions and Shows in France.
Mr. Hammond who had a long telephone conversation with Mr. Jones Tabi, the Director
of the GHANA CULTURAL GALLERY at Asante-Akim Domiabra (GHACIF PROJECT), has said
Domiabra will be selected amongst the tourist towns in Ghana to be supported and financed
by the Sigvardson Denmark.Emphasis will be laid on the established GHANA CULTURAL GALLERY
which is due for inauguration in April 2010.
Mr. Hammond leaves France for Denmark on Monday 16/02/2010. He will be accompanied by
Mr. Adjei Doughan Makosa of GHACIF who has began his duty with immediate effect.
They will both leave for Ghana on the 26/02/2010 for further concretisization.
At the Kwame Nkrumah Centre (GHACIF HEADQUARTERS) to cover the meeting with Mr. Hammond
were Mr. Denis Righteous Brobbey and Mr. Ahmed Boubakar all of GHACIFMEDIA.
