Madam President
Members of Batabi Oyoko Akwaaba Association
Reps of the Mayors of Bordeaux and Cenon
Friends of Batabi Village and Ghana
Fellow Ghanaians present tonight
Ladies and Gentlemen
Good Evening

My speech tonight contains a solidarity message from GHACIF the Ghanaian Community in France Rep. Council.GHACIF has Satelites in several French regional capitals. Today with the affiliation of Batabi Association, we are represented in Bordeaux south west of France.

We have the leading Ghanaian Community website which showcase and project the image of the goodness of Ghanaians in France. We have awakened associative and patriotic consciousness amongst Ghanaians in France.

Our tonight's participation in the inaugural ceremony of an association of Ghanaian interest in France is extra-ordinary.

Batabi Oyoko Association has shown a way forward towards development for Rural Ghana but the founder and majority of it's members are French.

I wish the Ghana Embassy was represented tonight to express gratitudes to these people but whilst we wait for their response to the letter BOA has sent to them, On behalf of Ghanaians I want to vividly thank Michelle Akua and her associates for their initiative and action.

I thank each and everyone here for your participation, your time your money and your encouragement.

Batabi is a piece of Ghana Batabi is a piece of Africa but Batabi is a piece of the world. By your generosity, the village shall move forward it shall get it's library it shall get it's internet cafe it shall get it's student's hall and many other amenities.

We are all here to show love to Baabi village but tonight we shall take the same opportunity to celebrate Ghana's 52nd Indepenence annivesary which falls in march every year. So do enjoy yourselves.

Long live Batabi Village Long live Batabi Oyoko Association Long live Franco-Ghanaian relationships Vive les villes de Cenon et Bordeaux

God bless you all.
