NANA AKUA OFORIWAA AND NANA AFRIFA YEBOAH A CAUSE FOR BATABI SCHOOL CHILDREN

Michelle Ouvrard is a French lady from Bordeaux who has adopted Batabi a village in the Eastern Region of Ghana. To help this village, she has created an association namely, "BATABI OYOKO AKWAABA". Two years ago GHACIF EXECUTIVES drove to Cenon a vicinity of Bordeaux to help inaugurate the association in a grand style.

Nana Akua Oforiwaa is the adopted Ghanaian name by Michelle Ouvrard. She has decided with her association to rehabilitate within their means the building of the village's school. This Summer, Six volunteers under the leadership of Nana Oforiwaa who is the President will leave for Ghana to accomplish that mission. The Ghana Embassy in a sign of appreciation has decided to offer the crew their visa fees.

Nana Afrifa Yeboah is a Regent of Batabi residing in France. He has joined Nana Oforiwaa to call on the GHACIF President at the Kwame Nkrumah Centre(GHACIF HQ)near Paris Last 4/7/2010. The Regent in various conversations narrated the history of and current life at Batabi. On behalf of the people of Batabi, he expressed sincere thanks to Nana Akua Oforiwaa and her associaton. To GHACIF, he told us all the good things he has observed about us. He thanked GHACIF Executives for working hand in hand with the association since it's creation. GHACIF Executives will accompany Nana Oforiwaa to meet diplomats of the Ghana Embassy in view of the preparation for the journey to Batabi.

A GHACIF crew will meet the volunteers in Ghana to help them in their project. The crew will proceed to Asante-Akim to participate in the enstoolment of Nana Frimpongmaa Queenmother to be of Opuniase on the 5/7/2010.
