GHALSA PRESIDENT, MR. ALANDU FRANK IN FRANCE
Ghana Liberal Students Association(GHALSA), GHALSA was invited to take part in the Youth Conference organised by the International Federation of
Liberal Youth, (IFRLY) that took place in Strasbourg. Mr. Alandu said GHALSA is affiliated to the International Federation of Liberal Youth
organisation which organises conference annually in Europe. GHALSA believe is four main pillars namely Rule Of Law Liberal Democracy, Human Right and Free Market economy. The aim and objectives of GHALSA is to organise and promote liberal
ideologies in all continents but more attention is given to the developing continents who are not yet abreast wih liberal tenets, especially in Asia and Africa. " However, IFRLY invites people from all their membr organisations in the world and among which prorities are given to Asia and Africa continet. THE essence of those workshops an events is to teach their members to learn and share the liberal principles and extend to their home country"
he said.Mr. Alandu added that, Ghana is now seen in the spectacles of the the international community as a top model for the promotion of rule of law and respect for fundamantal rht of others others as "rule of law" is being impacted on Ghanaians by the help of the government and the NGOs.
He was given the topic, " Participation: Non Formal Education and Human Rights Education as Tool for Youth Organisations" He stressed
that, the NGOs are doing well in educating the people though the non - formal way whilst the government is also concentrating more on the
formal aspects.
Mr. Alandu will return home and organise workshops, seminars, training programmes for students in the tertiary institutions and the general
public in Ghana."The emphasis will be made on the fundamental rights of the people to live and learn how to fight their rights", he promised.
